Ash and Linda are planning a romantic weekend getaway at a seemingly deserted cabin in the woods. Inside the old cabin, they find a mysterious book and a tape recorder containing the notes of Professor Raymond Knowby, who successfully translated the Book of the Dead, and whose words awaken the spirit of Evil. After Linda is possessed by demons, Ash must face the dark forces that threaten his life alone.
